Why is the complex phage preparation more effective than individual bacteriophages.

We studied microbiological, physicochemical, and genomic characteristics of the 4 virulent bacteriophages and came to the conclusion that the complex preparation is more effective than individual phages. The use of the phage cocktail broadens the lytic spectrum and significantly reduces the possibility of the phage-resistant forms generation.
